These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Get Reading Right website (getreadingright.com.au), our online platforms including Get Reading Right PLUS and Get Reading Right Free, and all products and services offered by Get Reading Right Pty Ltd (ABN 29 162 169 628) (“we”, “us”, “our”, “Get Reading Right”).
By accessing our website, creating an account, making a purchase, or using any of our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services.
1. Definitions
In these Terms:
- “Content” means all materials available through our services including but not limited to decodable readers, toolkits, practice books, take-away activities, images, text, audio, video, and interactive features.
- “Get Reading Right PLUS” means our subscription-based online platform providing access to our digital decodables library and associated resources.
- “Get Reading Right Free” means our complimentary online platform providing limited access to the first unit of selected resources.
- “Physical Products” means printed books, kits, and other tangible goods sold through our online store.
- “Digital Products” means downloadable or online-accessible content including eBooks, printable resources, and platform subscriptions.
- “User” or “you” means any person who accesses or uses our website or services.
2. Account Registration
To access certain services, including Get Reading Right PLUS and Get Reading Right Free, you must create an account. When registering, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- Maintain and promptly update your account information
- Keep your password secure and confidential
- Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms without refund.
3. Age Requirements
You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account, make purchases, or enter into agreements with Get Reading Right. By using our services, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.
4. Pricing and Payment
4.1 Prices
All prices displayed on our website are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST unless otherwise stated. We reserve the right to change prices at any time without notice, though any changes will not affect orders already placed and confirmed.
4.2 Payment
Payment must be made at the time of purchase using the payment methods available on our website. We use secure third-party payment processors and do not store your complete payment details on our servers.
4.3 Subscriptions
Get Reading Right PLUS subscriptions are billed according to the subscription term selected (monthly, annually, or as otherwise specified). Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings, and you will retain access until the end of your current billing period.
5. Orders and Delivery
5.1 Order Acceptance
An order is not accepted until we send you an order confirmation email. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order for any reason, including but not limited to product availability, errors in product or pricing information, or suspected fraudulent activity.
5.2 Pricing Errors
We take care to ensure pricing accuracy, but errors may occasionally occur. If we discover a pricing error after an order has been placed, we will contact you to offer the option of proceeding at the correct price or receiving a full refund. We are not obligated to supply products at an incorrect price.
5.3 Delivery of Physical Products
Delivery times and costs will be displayed at checkout. While we endeavour to meet estimated delivery times, these are not guaranteed. Risk of loss and title for physical products passes to you upon delivery to the shipping address provided.
5.4 Digital Product Access
Access to digital products and platform subscriptions is typically provided immediately upon payment confirmation. You will receive instructions for accessing your purchases via email.
6. Returns and Refunds
6.1 Australian Consumer Law
Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
6.2 Physical Products
If you receive a physical product that is faulty, damaged, or not as described, please contact us within 14 days of receipt. We will arrange a replacement or refund at our discretion. You may be required to return the product at our expense.
Change of mind refunds for physical products are offered within 14 days of receipt, provided the product is unused, in original condition, and in original packaging. Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility for change of mind returns.
6.3 Digital Products and Subscriptions
Due to the nature of digital products and instant access to content, refunds are generally not available for:
- Downloaded digital products once the download has occurred
- Get Reading Right PLUS or Get Reading Right Free access once you have logged in and accessed content
- Subscription fees for periods already commenced
However, if you experience technical issues that prevent you from accessing purchased digital content, please contact us and we will work to resolve the issue or provide a refund or credit at our discretion.
6.4 How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, please contact us at info@getreadingright.com.au with your order number and reason for the refund request.
7. Intellectual Property Rights
Important: All Content on our website and platforms is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Get Reading Right and/or its licensors retain all rights, title, and interest in the Content.
7.1 Ownership
All Content, including but not limited to decodable readers, illustrations, text, lesson plans, activity sheets, audio recordings, videos, logos, trademarks, and the overall design and structure of our platforms, is the exclusive property of Get Reading Right Pty Ltd or its licensors and is protected by Australian and international copyright and intellectual property laws.
7.2 Limited Licence for Personal/Educational Use
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to:
- Access and view Content through our platforms for personal or classroom educational use
- Print Content that is explicitly marked as “printable” or “downloadable” for use within your own classroom or home
- Share printed copies of printable Content with students in your direct care
7.3 Prohibited Uses
You must NOT, without prior written permission from Get Reading Right:
- Copy, reproduce, duplicate, or make copies of any Content (including by screenshot, screen recording, photographing, or any other means)
- Download, save, or store any Content except where explicitly provided as a downloadable file
- Print any Content unless it is explicitly marked as printable
- Distribute, share, lend, rent, lease, or transfer Content to any third party
- Upload Content to any other website, platform, file-sharing service, or cloud storage
- Modify, adapt, translate, create derivative works from, or alter any Content
- Remove, obscure, or alter any copyright notices, watermarks, or proprietary legends
- Use Content for any commercial purpose, including resale, commercial training, or creating competing products
- Use automated tools, bots, scrapers, or similar technology to access or download Content
- Circumvent, disable, or interfere with any security features or access controls
7.4 Get Reading Right PLUS and Get Reading Right Free
Access to our online platforms is personal to your account. You must not:
- Share your login credentials with any other person
- Allow multiple users to access the platform using a single account (unless on an approved multi-user licence)
- Access the platform from an unreasonable number of devices or locations suggesting account sharing
- Screenshot, screen record, or otherwise capture any content from the platform
- Use browser extensions or tools designed to download or save content
We monitor platform usage and reserve the right to terminate accounts that show evidence of sharing or misuse, without refund.
7.5 School and Institutional Licences
Schools and institutions requiring access for multiple users must purchase appropriate multi-user or institutional licences. Please contact us at info@getreadingright.com.au for licensing options.
7.6 Enforcement
We take intellectual property protection seriously. Violation of these terms may result in:
- Immediate termination of your account without refund
- Legal action to recover damages and enforce our rights
- Reporting to relevant authorities where appropriate
8. User Conduct
When using our services, you agree not to:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Infringe on the rights of others, including intellectual property rights
- Interfere with or disrupt our services or servers
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of our services
- Use our services for any unlawful or harmful purpose
- Transmit any viruses, malware, or harmful code
- Engage in any activity that could damage our reputation or business
9. Disclaimers
9.1 Educational Content
Our resources are designed to support synthetic phonics instruction. While we strive to provide high-quality educational materials based on the science of reading, we do not guarantee specific educational outcomes. Results may vary based on many factors including implementation, student needs, and instructional context.
9.2 Website Availability
We endeavour to keep our website and platforms available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend access for maintenance, updates, or other reasons without notice.
9.3 Third-Party Content
Our website may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party sites.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Our liability for any claim arising from or related to these Terms or our services is limited to the amount you paid for the specific product or service giving rise to the claim
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- We are not liable for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy conferred by the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded, restricted, or modified.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Get Reading Right, its directors, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:
- Your breach of these Terms
- Your use of our services
- Your violation of any third-party rights
- Any content you submit or transmit through our services
12. Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Our collection, use, and disclosure of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. By using our services, you consent to the practices described in our Privacy Policy.
13. Force Majeure
We are not liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, war, terrorism, riots, embargoes, acts of civil or military authorities, fire, floods, accidents, pandemic, strikes, or shortages of transportation, facilities, fuel, energy, labour, or materials.

18. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales and any courts of appeal from them for any proceedings arising out of or in connection with these Terms.
