Grapheme-Phoneme Correspondence Purpose: To assess recognition of grapheme-phoneme correspondences. Resources: Grapheme Cards (pg 142) Group Assessment Sheet (pg 144) or individual Response Sheet (pg 143) Procedure: 1. Display each card in order and ask the child to respond to the letter with a phoneme. Say something like “I’m going to show you a card with some letters on it. Can you put your finger on the first letter and tell me what phoneme it represents?” 2.
