Explain to the child that he / she is going to show you how many graphemephoneme representations he / she knows on the Individual GraphemePhoneme Recognition Response Sheet. Say something like, “I’m going to show you some words. I want you to break the words into phonemes. Can you circle the letter or letters that represent /ee/? Let me show you how I do the first one.” b ea n 2. Using the initials of each child, score a point for correct identification. Make sure the child understands that if a phoneme is represented by more than one letter then he / she should circle both letters. 3. Continue with the assessment. 4.
