Synthetic phonics is one of the five strands of a balanced literacy program which includes: phonemic awareness, synthetic phonics, fluency, vocabulary knowledge and comprehension. 

 

Synthetic phonics gets children reading and spelling - fast - and it shows improvements for every child.
