About Jo-Anne

Jo-Anne Dooner is the co-founder of Get Reading Right and author of the best selling Synthetic Phonics Toolkit. She currently mentors 10 National Partnership schools in Sydney, working with them to improve their literacy standards.

Having worked as a Deputy-Principal and a Literacy Coordinator Jo-Anne has a deep understanding of how to lead literacy development as well as how to teach it. Her training is “teacher friendly" and has a "nonsense approach” which inspires teachers to get up and do it!

Jo-Anne is regularly featured in Australian media, including Channel 9 and 2UE Radio, describing Get Reading Right's "revolutionary technique".
